ImplantationImplantation is defined when the fertilized egg attaches itself to the inside of the uterine wall. Once the fertilization process occurs, the egg can remain in the fallopian tube for 3 days. It gets close the outer lining of the uterus, called the endometrium, and begins to implant here. This can occur 6 to 10 days from the ovulation process however it can also happen a few days earlier or later, hence the intense planning process to try and become pregnant. It is typically a gentle process, and it is difficult to predict as symptoms are few and far between. With that said, some signs of implantation include spotting or a small change in body temperature.
