Week Six of PregnancyYour Baby and Changes… During week six of pregnancy, your baby is now grown to a whopping 2mm to 5mm long, and if becoming more and more healthy thanks to you. This size is compared to an English Pea, and is still very small. Growth becomes fast at this stage and your baby is now becoming a little human inside you. At week six, your baby will develop arm and leg extensions which will eventually grown into fully developed arms and legs. Your baby’s face will have spots developing at this stage which will eventually become eyes, nostrils and a mouth. The heartbeat of your baby is pacing at about one hundred to one hundred and forty beats per minute, which is circulating blood to your baby, at which at this stage an ultrasound may detect. Your baby may also develop to a point at which the baby is responding to touch and feel, two of the senses your baby will demonstrate from this point on. Your baby is able to move and swim around, however most Moms will not detect movement until about twenty weeks of pregnancy. Your Body and Changes… At six weeks, your baby has gained about a pound. Most women, on the other hand, may gain five to ten pounds of body weight during this week. Some women do not experience weight gain at all, yet during the first trimester, may begin to lose weight attributed to morning sickness. If this occurs, it is most likely our baby is fine, however visiting and communicating this to your physician is important in detecting any unforeseen obstacles in the pregnancy which might occur. Typical symptoms continue at this point including cramping, stomach pain, and or tingling in areas which your physician should investigate. Your physician will most likely put you at ease and provide you with something that may eliminate some of your discomfort you are feeling. As a Mommy, you might find that your waistline is expanding at this stage, and it might be time to invest in maternity clothes which make Mommies more comfortable while carrying and caring for their little life inside them. Others find more comfort in waiting on maternity clothes, and electing to wear a larger size jean which helps hold everything together in a tighter format. Throughout your pregnancy, your uterus will continue to expand to accommodate your baby’s growth, week by week. Changes in your body continue to form and you take notice, such as maybe veins throughout the legs, arms, and chest, nipples may appear to be sore, and/or your areolas may turn to a darker state than normal. Water birthing is the process of giving birth to your baby in a warm tub of water. Some women choose to birth to their babies in water because of the many benefits that come with it, up to and including the comfort and soothing natural effect that the water give them.
The baby has lived in the amniotic sac for nine months therefore water birthing gives the
baby and opportunity to be born in a similar environment which offers comfort. It also is

Single motherhood is more common than one might think. According to resources there is an estimated 10.4 million single mothers in the USA alone, and average of 3.5% of the nation. Many reasons for single motherhood exist up to and including simple divorce situations. Mothers make great leaders for this reason. They are able to block out all obstacles existing for being a single parent and put their children's well being as a top priority. “Getting your tubes tied” is a phrase or term which is used commonly to describe one process of contraception in the female anatomy. The medical term for this is “tubal ligation”. With having a baby, comes responsibility from the start of being a parent.
